Privacy
This site is run by Jordan Croome, a sole trader in Australia. Below is what it collects, who it goes to, and how to have it deleted. It describes what the site actually does, not what a template says a site might do.
If you only read one paragraph
Reading these pages is measured anonymously and without cookies. The four forms collect only what you type into them. The one page that carries advertising tracking, and the only page that sets a cookie, is /cost, and it is marked as such below. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared except with the services named here that are needed to run the site.
Every page
Vercel Analytics and a Cloudflare performance beacon count page views and load times. Neither sets an advertising cookie and neither identifies you. Vercel also hosts the site, so its servers process the usual web request information, including your IP address, in order to serve the page.
The cost calculator, at /cost
This is the only page with advertising tracking on it, because it is the page paid ads point at.
What is stored in a database: your trade, how many quotes you write a week, how long one takes, when you do your admin, how many go cold, and the figure worked out from those answers. Alongside that: which ad or link sent you, how far through the questions you got, your browser type, the page you came from, and a one-way hash of your IP address. The hash is used to spot repeat submissions and cannot be turned back into an IP address.
Only if you type them: your name, email and phone number. The number appears before any of that is asked, so you can see it and leave without giving anything.
If you do leave them, I will email or call you once about your own figure and what I would build. You are not added to a mailing list and you will not be sent anything else. Reply and say no, or ask to be deleted, and that is the end of it.
The Meta pixel. This page loads Meta’s tracking script, which tells Meta that you visited, that you finished the calculator, and that you left contact details, if you did. It is used to measure the ads and to find people like the ones the tool is useful for. It is on this page and no other page on this site. A tracker or content blocker will stop it, and the calculator works exactly the same either way.
Cookies and what is stored in your browser
On most of this site, nothing. Vercel Analytics and the Cloudflare beacon do not use cookies.
On /cost only, the Meta pixel sets one cookie named _fbp and stores two values in your browser called lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime. They exist so Meta can tell that the same person who saw an ad later arrived here. Cloudflare may also set a short-lived cookie of its own to tell real visitors from bots.
A content blocker stops all of that, and every page works exactly the same without it. Clearing your browsing data removes them.
The twenty minute map, at /map
If you run the interview, the questions and your answers are stored, along with your business name and email if you give them, and the findings worked out from the transcript. Your answers are sent to Anthropic so a model can conduct the interview and read the transcript back.
The forms, at /contact and /ai-check
The contact form takes your name, email, company, project type and message. The AI check takes your answers, company, email and an optional note. Both are emailed to me through Resend and are not stored in a database.
Who else sees any of it
Vercel hosts the site. Cloudflare sits in front of it. Supabase holds the calculator and map data. Resend delivers form emails. Meta receives the pixel events from /cost. Anthropic processes map interviews. Several of these are overseas, mainly in the United States, so data reaches servers outside Australia.
Nothing is sold. Nothing is handed to anyone not on that list, unless the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Calculator and map records are kept for 24 months, then deleted, and deleted sooner if you ask. Form emails sit in my inbox like any other email.
Having it deleted
Email hello@jordancroome.com and ask. Tell me roughly when you used the site and which part, and I will find the record and delete it. You can also ask for a copy of what is held, or to have something corrected. No account or form needed, just the email.
Blocking the tracking yourself
A content blocker stops the Meta pixel, and every page still works normally. Meta’s own controls for how your data is used in advertising are in your Facebook or Instagram account settings, under ad preferences.
Changes
If the site starts collecting something new, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no mailing list for privacy updates, so the date is the honest signal.
